On February 19, Oasis Foundation had the joy and privilege of celebrating Valentine’s Day with the residents of Sunrise Senior Living in Issaquah, Washington. The visit became a heart-warming afternoon filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and moments that reminded everyone present that love and connection have no age.
From the moment our team arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and open hearts. The atmosphere was joyful and inviting as residents and volunteers spent time together sharing stories, exchanging laughter, and enjoying one another’s company. Valentine’s Day provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate not only love, but also companionship, kindness, and community.
Throughout the afternoon, Oasis Foundation members engaged in heartfelt conversations with residents, listening to stories filled with wisdom, humor, and life experience. These moments of connection created a sense of closeness and mutual appreciation, highlighting the power of simply being present. Laughter echoed through the room, and many moments brought genuine joy to both residents and volunteers.

The gathering served as a reminder that meaningful connection does not require grand gestures. Simple acts such as sitting together, listening attentively, and sharing laughter can have a lasting impact. Each interaction reinforced the idea that kindness and care grow stronger when shared.
We are deeply grateful to the residents and staff of Sunrise Senior Living for welcoming us and allowing us to be part of their Valentine’s Day celebration. Their warmth and hospitality made the experience truly special and unforgettable.
At Oasis Foundation, we believe that community is built through compassion and shared experiences. This Valentine’s Day visit reminded us that love, joy, and connection continue to flourish at every stage of life, and we look forward to creating many more moments like these in the future.
