The Friendship Iftar Dinner hosted by Oasis Foundation was a meaningful evening that brought people together across cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. Held at the Willis Tucker Activity Center, the gathering was more than a shared meal; it was a moment of reflection, understanding, and connection rooted in the values of respect, service, and community.

With over 100 people in attendance, the room reflected a beautiful diversity of cultures and traditions. Guests from many backgrounds came together around one table, sharing food, conversation, and presence. The evening reminded everyone that when people sit together with openness and intention, barriers soften and understanding grows. The spirit of the Iftar meal, which emphasizes patience, gratitude, and togetherness, created a natural space for meaningful interaction and dialogue.

Oasis Foundation extends heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to making the Friendship Iftar Dinner such a memorable and impactful event. Special appreciation is given to the speakers and honored guests whose words and presence reinforced the importance of community engagement and cross-cultural connection.

We are grateful for the leadership and vision of Oasis Foundation President Bayram Saryyev, whose dedication to fostering inclusive spaces continues to guide the organization’s mission. His commitment to bringing communities together was evident throughout the evening and reflected in the thoughtful planning and welcoming atmosphere of the event.

We also thank Washington State Representative Darya Farivar for joining us and sharing insights that highlighted the importance of community-driven work and civic engagement. Her presence emphasized the value of collaboration between community organizations and public leaders in building stronger, more connected neighborhoods.

We were honored to welcome Deputy Consul General of Japan Yoko Tsuge and Shiori Inoue. Their participation underscored the international spirit of the evening and reminded attendees that friendship and mutual respect extend beyond borders. Their presence added depth to the gathering and reflected the shared values that connect people across nations.

Our sincere thanks also go to Uzbek community leader Marks Halmuradov, whose continued support and advocacy for cultural connection enriches the broader community. His involvement highlighted the strength that comes from honoring cultural heritage while building bridges between communities.

In addition to our speakers and guests, this evening would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers and partners. From preparing the space to welcoming guests and ensuring everyone felt included, their efforts created a warm and organized environment where people could focus on connection rather than logistics. Their service exemplifies the heart of Oasis Foundation’s work.

The Friendship Iftar Dinner served as a reminder that community work begins with simple, human moments. Sharing a meal, listening to one another, and gathering with intention can create lasting understanding and meaningful relationships. In a world often divided by differences, events like this reaffirm the power of coming together with respect and compassion.

Oasis Foundation remains committed to creating spaces where people from all backgrounds feel welcomed, valued, and heard. We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to this special evening. The Friendship Iftar Dinner was not just a single event, but a reflection of what is possible when community comes first.

We look forward to continuing this work and hosting future gatherings that strengthen relationships, celebrate diversity, and build lasting connections across our community.
