Iftar Dinner Unites Diverse Communities in Seattle

On March 22, 2025, the Oasis Foundation proudly hosted a vibrant community Iftar dinner in Seattle, at the Willis Tucker Activity Center, bringing together over 90 distinguished guests and community members. The event featured notable figures such as Deputy Consul of Japan Junichi Sumi, Washington State Legislator Darya Farivar, South Korean community leaders, Uzbek community leaders, and prominent figures from various local communities, reflecting Oasis Foundation's dedication to fostering unity and cultural dialogue.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome by Oasis Foundation President Bayram Saryyev, who emphasized the importance of community building, compassion, and intercultural understanding during the blessed month of Ramadan. Attendees had meaningful conversations, discussing community development, cross-cultural cooperation, and upcoming collaborative initiatives.
Guests delighted in an impressive spread of homemade dishes, including flavorful vegetarian options, traditional Turkmen dishes, freshly prepared vegetable platters, and diverse international cuisines that showcased the rich culinary traditions of the participating communities. The dessert table featured an irresistible assortment of homemade pastries, traditional sweets, and desserts that underscored the communal spirit and generosity typical of Ramadan gatherings.
