Oasis Foundation Youth Gives Back at Community Serve Day at Kokanee Elementary

August 23, 2026 — The Oasis Foundation Youth was proud to take part in Community Serve Day at Kokanee Elementary, joining local volunteers for a meaningful morning of service, teamwork, and community involvement. From 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, youth volunteers worked alongside members of the community to help prepare the school for the upcoming academic year.
The event brought together people of different ages and backgrounds who shared a common goal: giving their time and energy to make a positive difference. For Oasis Foundation Youth, it was a valuable opportunity to step outside the classroom, work with others, and experience the impact of community service firsthand.
Throughout the morning, volunteers took part in a variety of projects around Kokanee Elementary. Oasis youth helped with painting, yard work, organizing supplies, and other hands-on improvement projects designed to prepare the school for the new academic year.
One of the most visible projects involved painting. Volunteers worked together with brushes, rollers, and colorful paints to refresh outdoor areas around the school. The project brought creativity and energy to the school grounds while giving youth an opportunity to work together toward a shared result.
Volunteers also helped organize school supplies and prepare materials for students and teachers. From arranging supplies to moving and organizing items, each task played a part in creating a more welcoming and prepared environment for the school community.
For Oasis Foundation Youth, Community Serve Day was more than simply completing a list of projects. It was an opportunity to learn about responsibility, teamwork, cooperation, and the importance of giving back.
Working alongside other volunteers allowed the youth to build new connections while learning how individual efforts can contribute to a larger goal. Whether they were painting, cleaning, organizing, or helping with outdoor projects, every volunteer had an important role.
